Veterinary Assistant We’re hiring a Veterinary Assistant for our growing animal hospital. Salary: $19-$22/hr. Hands on training and mentorship Personal and professional development and opportunities for growth How You’ll Make a Difference: As a Veterinary Assistant (technician), you will assist the doctor with medical procedures, while under their direct supervision. You will help create positive, lasting impressions and build trust and loyalty with clients and their pets. Provide written and verbal communication to clients regarding their pet’s care including answering any questions they may have, helping to educate them on treatments, and gaining their consent for treatment plans. Deliver WOW customer service to clients and their pets. Manage medical records through practice management software. Dispense medication, perform x-rays, perform blood draws, place catheters, obtain samples, provide treatments, run diagnostic equipment, administer vaccines, and provide animal restraint when necessary. Set-up, breakdown, cleaning, and maintaining medical equipment. Assist with cleaning all areas of the hospital. How You’ll Succeed: Comfortable interacting with furry, fuzzy, feathered, and scaly friends with calm and compassion Have strong interpersonal and oral communication skills. Be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
