Railcar Services VLS Railcar Cleaning and Repair Services division provides specialty cleaning services for difficult-to-clean products, including chemicals, hardened materials, and pressurized gases, and comprehensive repair services for certified full-service repairs, tank car qualifications, and maintenance. Marine Services VLS Marine Services division offers state-of-the-art barge cleaning, repair, and gas-free facilities for various chemical solvents and downstream petroleum products. Qualifications An Operations Business Analyst Intern supports company productivity by analyzing operational data, mapping workflows, and finding ways to improve daily business processes. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to build performance reports, track key metrics, and assist in implementing strategic, cost-saving solutions.   Key Responsibilities * Analyze operational data to find process bottlenecks and efficiency gaps * Daily data analysis on waste streams, facility output, and transportation logistics. * Design and update workflow charts, process maps, and user guides * Build and maintain routine dashboards tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) or performance reports for leadership * Collaborate with teams like finance, IT, and project management on cross-functional initiatives * Assist with testing and evaluating new system resources or operational   Qualifications & Skills * Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business or Data Analytics, or a related field * Junior or Senior status by fall of 2027. * 3.0 GPA * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and basic familiarity with data visualization tools * Excellent problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail * Good written and verbal communication skills to present findings clearly * Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
