Welder/Fitter

Description: Liberty Mechanical is seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, assembling, and fitting piping systems according to drawings, specifications, and safety requirements. The ideal candidate has strong welding and fabrication skills, pays close attention to detail, and is a team player committed to producing high-quality work. Short- and Long-Term Disability Company matched 401k Company Cellphone if applicable Paid Holidays Paid Time off Weekly pay period Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols Measure, cut, fit, align, and prepare pipe and piping components for welding Perform pipe welding using applicable welding processes, including SMAW, GTAW, and/or FCAW as required Set up and operate welding machines, cutting equipment, grinders, and other fabrication tools Inspect completed welds and fittings to ensure they meet quality and project specifications Work with carbon steel Work with stainless and other piping materials preferred Work with grease duct preferred Maintain proper weld profiles, dimensions, and tolerances Follow all company, OSHA, and project-specific safety procedures Maintain a clean and organized work area Work effectively with other welders, fitters, supervisors, and project personnel Complete work efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Qualifications Previous experience as a pipe welder/fitter or in a similar industrial fabrication position Ability to read and understand piping drawings and isometric diagrams Proficiency with applicable pipe welding processes Ability to use measuring tools and hand/power tools safely Strong understanding of pipe fit-up, alignment, and welding procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work in industrial environments and meet physical demands of the position Welding certifications are preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions for extended periods Ability to lift and handle materials and equipment Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and varying environmental conditions when required Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Working with our Company: At Liberty Mechanical, our mission is to deliver exceptional work, quality products, and outstanding customer service to meet the specific needs of our clients in the HVAC and Energy Services industries.
