What you'll do
- Produce a variety of parts from shop drawings to conform to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
- Operate brazing and soldering equipment
- Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machines
- Participate in continuous improvement of processes
- Cross train in other complementary skills to support production requirements
- Observe all applicable safety requirements
What you need
- 3 months or more of TIG welding experience
- At least 6 months of experience reading, understanding, and interpreting blueprints and basic welding process specifications under supervision
- Ability to sit or stand at least 50% of work shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Hands-on exposure to basic tool fabrication methods and standard shop processes, including measuring, cutting, and fitting parts to specification (preferred)
- Experience using production tracking or inventory control systems to log work orders, time, and materials accurately (preferred)
- Completion of a welding apprenticeship program; or equivalent (preferred)
- Well-organized with attention to detail (preferred)

As a Welder , you’ll operate metal fabrication equipment such as gas tungsten arc (GTAW), gas metal arc (GMAW), flux-cored arc (FAW), plasma arc (PAW), shielded metal arc (SMAW), and resistance welding.
