Typical hours are Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Hours may vary depending on weather and customer demand. DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job) Perform all welding and related maintenance for all areas. Lay out and arrange parts and different types of fabrication. Set machines to perform all welding operations, including stick welding, aluminum welding, and wire feed welding. Set equipment to perform all cutting operations. Operate a motor vehicle. Enforce safety rules and regulations (Federal, state, local and company policies.) Performs other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITITES (types and extent of knowledge, skills or abilities an incumbent must possess to complete the job responsibilities satisfactorily) Technical Skills Safety Skills Attention to Detail Problem-solving Skills Communication Skills Critical Thinking Time Management Handling heavy materials, equipment, and performing tasks that require strength & endurance MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements) Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one required. CDL desirable. Must have own hand tools. Basic knowledge of hand tools, drill presses, grinders, saws, related fabricating, maintenance and safety equipment.
