Description

   This position is with Revolution Wellness & Therapy, our partner organization providing wellness and massage therapy services to Bayview residents. Applicants will be contacted directly by Revolution Wellness & Therapy, not Bayview.    Wellness Program Assistant We are looking for a program assistant to join our dynamic and interdisciplinary clinic that specializes in providing wellness services and outpatient therapy for older adults. Ideal applicants have an interest or background in health, wellness, and fitness and enjoy working with people over the age of 62. The job entails a mix of teaching group wellness classes (ie dance, fall reduction, seated movement) under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, assisting individual clients in the gym or therapeutic pool, and administrative logistics to help the clinic run smoothly. The job is great for candidates who are personable, have great organizational skills, enjoy working with older adults, and can solve problems and independently initiate solutions.  Program assistants are provided with training sessions run by our experienced PTs and OTs to ensure competence and safety with leading classes. * Schedule: Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:30am-4:30pm * Wage: $23.00-$30.00/hour depending on experience   Skills: * High school graduation or GED although background in athletic training or anatomy/physiology preferred. * Interest or background in yoga, dance, and/or tai chi strongly preferred. * Willingness and passion for working with older adults. * Comfort communicating with leading groups and working one to one. * Able to maintain personal safety in a water environment. * Works independently and able to identify productive tasks to assist the clinic operations.
