About the company
Bedrock Robotics
Information technology and services · 2 to 10 employees
At Bedrock, we're moving AI out of the lab and into the real world. Our team includes veterans who helped launch Waymo, scaled Segment to a $3.2B acquisition, and grew Uber Freight to $5B in revenue. Today, we're deploying autonomous systems on heavy construction equipment across the country, improving safety on job sites and accelerating schedules on critical infrastructure projects. We're not here debating the future of AI. We're deploying it in the real world. In just two years, we've raised $350M and achieved the first fully autonomous excavator deployments in construction.
What you'll do
- Help write Gen 3 test plans with hardware, controls, and autonomy engineers: what we're proving, how we'll measure it, and what pass looks like
- Run structured field tests on autonomous and manually operated excavators, both in-cab and from the field, following our safety procedures
- Own data quality for your campaigns: instrumentation and logging checks, then a review of recorded runs (e.g., in Foxglove) to confirm you captured what you meant to
- Triage issues in the field: reproduce them, narrow down the cause, and write tickets engineering can act on the same day
- Build Python tooling that automates test setup, data processing, and daily reporting
- Turn what you learn into better test procedures, so the next Gen 3 machine goes through validation faster than the last one
- Present your campaign results and recommendations to the engineering teams
- WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
What you need

- Must be willing to work outdoors full-time in PPE on and around heavy equipment.
- Education: a bachelor's degree or a postgraduate degree
