Northrop Grumman is seeking Engineers for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Colorado Springs, CO. Responsibliities: Gain proficiency in Model-based System Engineering (MBSE) and associated tools (e.g., DOORS or Cameo). Work in an agile development environment. Design and define software system architecture artifacts for new or existing Software Products. Requirements creation and tracing to software components. Work with a team of software developers, other Software System Engineers and SME’s (subject matter experts). The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Strategic Deterrent Systems Division (SDSD). Basic Qualifications A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must: Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026. Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree. Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027. Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) Preferred Qualifications: Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher Current active Secret Security Clearance or higher Intern Pay Range for Colorado Springs, CO: Bachelor’s: $24.25 to $31.00 per hour Master’s: $34.50- $37.25 per hour At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative. However, this timeline may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.
