This role is responsible for processing vendor payments and cash receipts while supporting accurate data entry, invoicing, and the handling of confidential information for the company and clients. You will work directly with staff and vendors to resolve invoicing questions, support accounts payable and cash receipt workflows, and help maintain strong service for customers and vendors. This role also collaborates with AR and TFA staff and helps keep payment records organized and accurate. At a Glance Location: Rock Island, IL Discipline: Finance & Accounting Ownership: 100% employee-owned (ESOP) Work Schedule: Full-time in office Sponsorship: Not available What You'll Do Work directly with staff and vendors on invoicing issues and questions Issue accurate and timely payment to vendors Prepare vendor invoices for BOT processing Prepare client invoices in Therefore for bot processing of cash receipts Research files and computer reports to resolve vendor complaints for non-payment Process payments to vendors with AP checks or ACH payments Ensure payment is received for outstanding invoices Work with AR and TFA staff on receipt inquiries File check images and records of payment as file back-up Maintain confidentiality of all corporate, personnel and project/client/vendor related material What You'll Bring Required Education and Experience 2 years post-high school education or high school diploma Skills and Abilities Strong communication skills Strong customer service abilities and positive attitude Knowledge of accounting principles and practices Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment Comfortable using software with willingness to learn new software as required Analytical and data-driven mindset Detail-oriented, organized, consistent, and dependable Enjoys working both autonomously and in a team environment Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook Preferred Familiarity with Deltek-Vantagepoint or similar software preferred 5 years of work experience in an office or 2 years of accounting experience preferred Experience in the engineering and/or the construction industry preferred About the Team Finance and accounting teams supporting a 100% employee-owned firm with 100+ offices nationwide Successfully implemented Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to streamline accounts payable processes, improving efficiency and accuracy Partner directly with project teams and leadership on budgets, forecasting, and reporting Broad exposure across a national professional-services business, from project accounting to corporate finance A collaborative culture where finance is a true business partner, not a back office Why IMEG We put people at the center of who we are, creating positive outcomes for people, communities, and our planet. For positions available in multiple locations, the minimums and maximums may vary based on work location. Individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and licensure and certifications. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
