Monroe, LA · Full-time, in-office · Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM · $38,000 - $45,000 per year
Our crews handle the floods and fires. You handle the receipts.
We’re the team that helps make fire and water damage “Like it never even happened.” Behind every job is a lot of paperwork: credit card charges, subcontractor paperwork, billing and intercompany entries. Does a missing receipt bother you more than it should? Is a reconciliation that ties to the penny your idea of a good day? Then we should talk.
What you’ll own
Construction credit cards: Collect receipts, flag policy violations, watch limits, make payments and reconcile balances.
Vendor compliance: Keep every W-9 and COI filed in QuickBooks Online across all companies, make sure payee names match and help the Controller with workers’ comp audits.
Mitigation billing: Record and reverse unbilled revenue each month, and reconcile HomeBase billing and AR to QBO.
Intercompany: Reconcile the accounts, enter journal entries and keep the balance sheet current.
Construction workers’ comp: Identify subs without coverage, compile payroll data, then file the online report and pay what’s due.
You’ll fit right in if you have
2–3 years of accounting experience (construction or service industry is a plus)
Strong skills in QuickBooks Online and Excel
A solid grasp of journal entries, AR and reconciliations
Familiarity with W-9s, COIs, intercompany accounting and workers’ comp reporting (strongly preferred)
A high school diploma or GED (an associate’s or bachelor’s in accounting or finance is preferred)
Sharp attention to detail, a deadline mindset and the discretion to handle sensitive financial information
