What you'll do
- Develop innovative products that help the insurance industry integrate loss costs, data, and insights into AI workflows.
- Build infrastructure to bring Verisk's core intelligence to market in new ways.
What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related major.
- At least 4 - 6 years of P&C actuarial experience with a focus on pricing or underwriting functions required.
- Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) preferred. Exam 5 required.
- Proficiency in actuarial software and tools (e.g., R and/or Python, SQL, Excel).
- High degree of agency and ownership; demonstrated ability to operate independently, drive projects forward with limited oversight, and take accountability for outcomes across the full lifecycle of a process or product build.
- Familiarity with ISO loss costs and/or ISO data products, circulars, etc. is a plus.
- Interest or experience in generative AI tools is a plus; candidates should be able to speak to how they've used AI on or off the job.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under uncertainty and ambiguity. Experience working with complex and diverse datasets and non-standardized processes.
- <p>Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to teammates. Ability to present to audiences and high-profile stakeholders on occasion.</p>
- Comfort working with external clients and internal stakeholders to advance actuarial solutions to their unique technical problems.

Verisk’s Actuarial Transformation team is looking for an Actuarial Associate to contribute pricing and data knowledge towards delivering AI based solutions for the insurance industry.
The Actuarial Associate will join our growing actuarial team and be responsible for the development of innovative products to help the industry better integrate our loss costs, data, and insights into AI workflows. You'll build the infrastructure that allows Verisk's core intelligence to reach the market in new ways. Your work will directly facilitate how the insurance industry realizes the benefits of AI, and your success will help insurers make data-based decisions more confidently and quickly.
