Administrative Assistant / Payroll Clerk / Accounts Payable Clerk DNA Carpentry Join Our Team DNA Carpentry is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant / Payroll Clerk / Accounts Payable Clerk to support our growing construction company. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of responsibilities and takes pride in keeping administrative and financial operations running smoothly. The successful candidate will be responsible for office administration, payroll processing, and accounts payable functions while working closely with management, employees, vendors, and subcontractors. Compensation Starting at $25.00 per hour, with higher pay available based on experience and qualifications. Benefits For eligible full-time employees: 50% employer-paid health insurance after 90 days of employment. 401(k) Retirement Plan after one year of employment. 100% company match up to 4% of employee compensation. Enhanced retirement benefit with a double-match tiered vesting schedule, fully vested after six years. Paid holidays. Paid Time Off (PTO). Paid vacation after one year of employment. Opportunities for growth and advancement within the company. Responsibilities Administrative Support Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries. Maintain employee files, records, and company documentation. Organize and maintain office filing systems. Schedule appointments, meetings, and company events. Assist management with day-to-day administrative tasks. Prepare reports, forms, and correspondence. Payroll Process weekly payroll accurately and on time. Review employee timesheets and job costing information. Maintain payroll records and employee information. Assist employees with payroll-related questions. Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies. Accounts Payable Review and process vendor invoices. Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts. Prepare payments to vendors and subcontractors. Reconcile vendor statements. Maintain organized financial records. Assist with month-end accounting processes. Qualifications Previous experience in administrative support, payroll, bookkeeping, accounting, or accounts payable. Experience in the construction industry is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with payroll and accounting software is preferred. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to handle confidential information professionally. Strong communication and customer service skills.
