What you'll do
- Manage a portfolio of temperature-controlled and perishable cargo claims, protecting Arrive’s financial position while serving customers and carriers.
- Respond quickly when perishable freight is at risk, communicate clearly, and escalate when needed.
What you need
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or related) or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- 3+ years of cargo claims management experience, with a heavy emphasis on 3PL, freight brokerage, or cargo insurance environments.
- Deep knowledge of perishable freight laws and standards, including the Carmack Amendment, PACA (Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act) guidelines, USDA standards, and FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act).
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and critical thinking skills, with a track record of handling high-value settlements and complex legal disputes.
- Outstanding organizational skills and intensive attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, freight broker TMS platforms, and claims management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on proactive, collaborative customer and carrier relationship management.
