What you'll do

Assist with research, planning, and implementing ideas for programs and activities for the I/DD population based on individual preferences.
Involve I/DD individuals with one-on-one or group instruction of activities at their level of comprehension.
Interact with each individual with respect and dignity.
Assist with agency and program functions.
Transport individuals participating in off-site programs and events as needed on a daily bases, utilizing a minivan and a 12-passenger van.

What you need

Must be 18 years of age or older.
High School Diploma or GED
Experience working with a special needs population is preferred.
Experience with all aspects of creative content, arts and crafts, and directing activities for special needs populations is preferred.
Valid Driver's License
Good driving record
Education: a high school diploma

What we need: The Assistant Activities Coordinator will provide assistance to the Activities Coordinator in the development and implementation of a variety of activities associated with the Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) population. What You'll Do: Assist with research, planning, and implementing ideas for programs and activities for the I/DD population based on individual preferences. Involve I/DD individuals with one-on-one or group instruction of activities at their level of comprehension. Interact with each individual with respect and dignity. Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or GED Experience working with a special needs population is preferred.
