We Offer : Competitive Wages Flexible Scheduling Partnership Discounts with Local Businesses Extensive Training Program We Hire: Direct Support Professionals (DSP s ) willing to make a difference in someone's life by providing companionship, care, and support . We Need: InReach needs a DSP (Independent Contractor) for a young male Individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Union County area of Waxhaw, NC. Staff will provide Community Living and Support Services with approx 24 hours every other weekend. This is a Saturday and Sunday position for every other weekend. Staff will perform all services in the home **Must be able to handle challenging behaviors Schedule: Saturday and Sunday (8am to 8pm) or flexibility in shift; will be able to split with (8am to 2pm) or (2pm to 8pm) schedule Pay Rate: CLS Services at $20.35/hr What You'll Do : Instruction and assistance in home living environments. Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles. Facilitat e community integration. Help individual develop healthy social habits. Dispens e medication and monitoring dosages. Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities. All InReach applicants must have a high school diploma (or GED), a valid driver's license, and successfully pass a drug screen and background check. One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred. *** This DSP position is an Independent Contractor position. Independent Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for their direct deposits. Additional fees required for Contractors include paying for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.
