Assistant Teacher (Preschool) Anacortes Family Center | Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County 25–29 hours per week | $21.65–$22.97 DOE/DOQ Preschoolers are busy figuring out a lot-how to share an idea, make a friend, solve a problem, try something new, and sometimes how to get through a really big feeling. Having the right adults beside them makes all the difference. We're looking for an Assistant Teacher to join our Early Learning team at the Anacortes Family Center. Working alongside a Lead Teacher, you'll help create a classroom where children feel safe, encouraged, and excited to explore the world around them. Your day might include reading a favorite story for the tenth time, joining an imaginative game, helping with a hands-on activity, encouraging a child to try again, or offering reassurance when the day feels overwhelming. Through all of it, you'll help children develop confidence, independence, friendships, and a love of discovery. We're looking for someone who brings patience, dependability, and genuine warmth to the classroom. Early learning experience is valuable, but so is a willingness to learn and grow. We'll provide training and support to help you build your skills and succeed in the role. You'll join a team that values meaningful work, collaboration, and fun. Benefits include paid training, sick and vacation accrual, 10 paid operational closure days, 2 Self-Selected Days of Importance, and access to our 401(k) plan. Some days will be messy. Some will be challenging. And some will include a small moment that reminds you exactly why this work matters. If you'd like to be one of the people helping children feel safe enough to explore, confident enough to try, and supported enough to grow, apply today.
