Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Analyze designs and develop basic analog and digital circuits under the direction of an experienced engineer. Conduct hardware design reviews to demonstrate product and circuit robustness. Assist in the development of hardware specifications. Write test plans, execute tests, and document test results for use at peer design reviews and for project notebooks. Develop knowledge of SEL engineering processes. Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. Provide work estimates to support project planning. Understand. Create. Simplify. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of one or more of the following areas: -- Analog circuit design, analysis, and simulation -- Digital circuit design, analysis, and simulation -- Power supply design, analysis, and simulation -- Microprocessor and FPGA system design -- Ethernet and fiber optic communications interface design -- Electromagnetic compatibility and standards compliance experience -- Hands on experience with prototyping -- PCB layout experience -- Basic understanding of project management processes and procedures -- Digital design with emphasis on Programmable Logic including: -- VHDL/Verilog -- Xilinx/Altera/Micro Semi Tools -- Simulation, Timing Analysis, and Synthesis Location: Pullman, WA Competitive pay. Pay Range Data: Associate Software Engineer $82,000 - $122,900 Software Engineer $89,400 - $134,100 We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job and responsibility. We base our starting pay offer and title on job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
