About Rivian
Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.
As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.

Within the Chief Customer Officer (CCO) organization, the Strategy & Program Management team owns the cross-departmental, multi-quarter initiatives that move the KPIs that matter most to our customers and our business. We broker financial trade-offs between departments, shape SOPs across the customer journey, and ship validated impact. Because our team is small and every member runs a lane end-to-end, this group acts as a strategic launchpad for future functional leaders.
We are seeking a Strategy Analyst Intern for Summer 2027. In this role, you will work alongside our strategy leads to support and run real project lanes across our four core deliverables: multi-quarter strategic programs, cross-functional financial metrics, customer journey mapping, and leadership ad-hoc tasks. This role is built for a true self-starter—someone who sees blank space, jumps in to fill it, and actively seeks out ways to automate work and apply AI to solve business problems.
Responsibilities
Support multi-quarter strategic programs from intake to execution, helping track roadmaps, monitor P&L trade-offs, and align cross-functional stakeholders.
Assist in quarterbacking key cross-functional financial metrics, analyzing data across departments to ensure the business hits target goals.
Help map and refine the end-to-end Northstar customer journey, supporting the redesign and documentation of live SOPs across customer touchpoints.
Execute high-priority, fast-turnaround ad-hoc strategic projects directly commissioned by CCO leadership.
Support project portfolio management tracking and monitoring project handoff criteria as initiatives transition to functional teams.
Actively identify work automation opportunities and apply AI fluency to streamline team workflows, automate routine tasks, and extract actionable business insights.
Build dynamic strategic and financial models in Google Sheets, and translate cross-functional insights into executive-ready presentation decks using Google Slides.
Qualifications
Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program, majoring in Business Strategy, Finance, Entrepreneurship, or a closely related field, with an anticipated graduation date between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028.
A strong academic record from a top-tier business program
An innate self-starter mindset with the ability to navigate blank space, take ownership of ambiguous problems, and drive solutions with mentorship and guidance.
Baseline understanding of corporate strategy, financial trade-offs, and customer journey concepts.
Absolute requirement for high proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Slides to build structured models and clean presentation narratives.
High AI fluency and an eager willingness to use AI tools and automation to increase speed and capability across team deliverables.
Strong trade-off judgment and communication skills to collaborate effectively across multi-departmental initiatives.
