Description

Overview Provides operational and data management support to the Tumor Registry department. Assists with long-term follow-up activities, database maintenance, data quality review, and coordination of registry-related workflows to support accurate, timely, and complete cancer registry data in accordance with organizational and accreditation standards. Must reside in Florida, Georgia or Tennesse. Qualifications Required Education: GED or High School Diploma Preferred Education: Associate's degree -Coursework in medical terminology, health information management, oncology, or healthcare administration Necessary Skills: 1. Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a fully remote work environment. 2. Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and data accuracy. 3. Strong computer proficiency with the ability to learn and navigate multiple software systems and databases efficiently. 4. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams. 5. Experience using web-based applications, web browsers, and healthcare or database software systems preferred. 6. Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and meet established deadlines with minimal supervision. 7. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote team members. 8. Must be comfortable seeking guidance, clarification, and support from team members and leadership when needed. 9. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information appropriately. 10. Prior remote work experience preferred. Preferred Licensure/Certifications: Interest in pursuing Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification Optional Experience: Less than one (1) year of administrative, healthcare, medical records, data entry, database management, or related office experience required. Preferred Experience: Experience working in a remote environment and/or hybrid work environment and utilizing multiple computer software applications preferred. Experience with oncology, tumor registry, medical records, healthcare operations or database management. Experience using CRStar, EPIC or other healthcare data systems preferred.
