Northrop Grumman is seeking Manufacturing Technician Interns for a 10 Week Fall Internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Space sector facility on-site in Chandler, AZ and will be 1st Shift (6:00AM - 3:30PM). The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Manufacturing Technician Team for a 10 week internship, and be converted to a full time employee in the future, dependent on performance, timing, and budget. Roles and Responsibilities Perform functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies Use work instructions, engineering drawings, and technical manuals Potentially assembling aerospace cables/harnesses to specifications and/or working with composites Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment Determine and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Basic Qualifications: A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must: Be a student enrolled in a community college or technical trade school, or be working toward a manufacturing certification or related coursework Be available to work full time for at least 10 weeks Ability to work with hand tools, often requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination Able to read, interpret and record measurements US Citizen Preferred Qualifications: J-STD-001 Certification IPC-A-610 Certification IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification Cables and Wire Harness experience Soldering experience Composites coursework Intern Pay Range: $16.00 - $25.75 At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative. Primary Level Salary Range: $16.00 - $25.75 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
