Our interns are not here to “just observe." They collaborate with experienced professionals, sharpen their skills, and leave with tangible accomplishments to add to their resume.   What You’ll Gain * Practical experience applying classroom knowledge to real-world construction projects * Mentorship from preconstruction professionals  * Networking in the construction industry * Competitive hourly wage   Key Responsibilities As an Estimating Intern, your assignments may include: * Assisting with quantity take-offs and material pricing for commercial construction projects * Supporting the preparation of detailed cost estimates and bid packages * Researching subcontractor and supplier pricing and maintaining vendor databases * Reviewing construction documents, drawings, and specifications to identify scope of work * Participating in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and post-bid analysis * Supporting the estimating team with value engineering and scope review during preconstruction   What You’ll Bring * Current enrollment in an accredited program in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field * Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation  * Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills * Clear written and verbal communication abilities * Self-motivated and eager to learn * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite   Our People At Boyd Jones, our people are our most valuable asset.
