Entry Level Caulker (Omaha, NE)

Job Summary:    Field Technicians work in new and commercial buildings doing installations, curtain wall insulation, waterproofing, joint sealants, air barriers, fireproofing, fire stopping, expansion joint, and perimeter joints. They will report to the site foreman (temporary role, but not a fulltime position), General Foreman or the Superintendent and use knowledge to execute projects to specifications.       Duties/Responsibilities:   * Install firestopping at wall joints, slab edge and penetrations  * Install joint sealants at interior finish locations, building exterior and exterior paving conditions   * Install sheet and fluid applied waterproofing systems  * Install sheet and fluid applied air barrier systems  * Install interior and exterior expansion joint systems  * Utilize caulking gun   * Utilize basic hand tools as needed   * Other duties as assigned      Requirements and Preferred Experience:   * Working knowledge of basic tools and materials   * Comfortable working at various heights   * Comfortable working in all weather conditions   * History of good attendance and reliability   * Ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively with limited direction and supervision   * Working knowledge of commercial construction jobsite safety rules   * Construction experience preferred, but motivated entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.  * Experience with caulking, waterproofing, insulation, firestopping, or similar trades is a plus.     Education:   * High school diploma or equivalent      Physical Requirements:   The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
