What you need
- Four Year College Degree (B.S. or B.A.) or equivalent experience
- 0-5 years of experience with reinsurance contracts
- Extensive MS Word experience and expertise
- Experience with Adobe and Microsoft Office products
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organization skills
- Legally authorized to work in the US
- Law Degree (J.D.) (preferred)
- Education: a bachelor's degree or a postgraduate degree

About Role
Primary Responsibilities
As an Contract Drafter, you will learn to create, develop and maintain reinsurance contract documentation and develop knowledge of insurance/reinsurance concepts you will use to assist broker teams with myriad projects.
Under supervision of experienced contract drafters, learn to draft reinsurance contracts, interests and liabilities agreements and related documents in coordination with brokers, clients and reinsurers.
Develop knowledge to ensure contract wording reflects intent of reinsurance negotiations.
Participate in Request for Proposal and sales presentations by collaborating to recommend coverage and wording enhancements.
Promote, build and maintain relationships with brokers, clients and reinsurers. Understand issues, resolve problems and review working practices.
Participate in department meetings to share opinions, ideas, knowledge and solutions, and work to maintain best practices.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Four Year College Degree (B.S. or B.A.) or equivalent experience
Law Degree (J.D.) helpful but not required
0-5 years of experience with reinsurance contracts
Extensive MS Word experience and expertise
Experience with Adobe and Microsoft Office products
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent organization skills
Legally authorized to work in the US
