Cybersecurity Engineering Intern

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: * Collaborate with the Product Security team to enhance cybersecurity across Emerson’s product portfolio. * Assist in the development and implementation of secure coding practices. * Support efforts to meet regulatory compliance requirements. * Participate in agile development processes and contribute to secure software/firmware development. * Communicate findings and recommendations through persuasive writing and effective verbal communication. * Engage in empathetic thinking to understand user and stakeholder needs. * Learn and apply cybersecurity principles in a real-world product environment. * Work in a team-oriented setting and contribute to a collaborative culture.   Who You Are: * You are curious and eager to learn. You are open to feedback, adaptable to change, and motivated to grow your skills in a dynamic environment.   For This Role, You Will Need: * Pursuing Bachelors in engineering * Zero (0) years of applicable experience * Legal authorization to work in the United States  * Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person   Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: * GPA of 3.0 or above * Prior internship experience * An ABET-accredited engineering degree in Computer, Electrical, or Software Engineering or Computer Science is preferred. * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Understanding of basic security concepts such as encryption, secure software development, and regulatory compliance * Student-level proficiency in a programming/scripting language such as C/C++, Python, PowerShell, etc.   Our Culture & Commitment to You: * At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
