Day Shift Plant Maintenance Mechanic

What You'll Be Doing Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain crushing, screening, conveying, and processing equipment to maximize plant reliability. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and support production goals. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding-related issues and implement effective repairs. Conduct equipment inspections and identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and equipment performance. Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements. What Are We Looking For Demonstrated mechanical maintenance capability in quarry, mining, aggregates, manufacturing, construction materials, or other heavy industrial environments. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps, motors, bearings, gearboxes, and hydraulic equipment. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement effective repair solutions. Proficiency in welding, cutting, fabrication, and the safe use of maintenance tools and equipment. Commitment to safety, teamwork, reliability, and continuous improvement. Work Environment Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level. Physical Demands of the Job Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, ladders, catwalks, and navigate uneven terrain for extended periods while inspecting and repairing plant equipment. Ability to perform physical maintenance activities, including bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and working in confined spaces. Ability to frequently lift, carry, and move tools, parts, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally heavier loads with appropriate assistance or equipment. Ability to work safely at heights, around moving mechanical equipment, and in outdoor environments with exposure to heat, cold, dust, rain, humidity, and varying weather conditions. Ability to wear and use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, fall protection, respirators, and steel-toed footwear, while performing repetitive tasks with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
