What you'll do

Participate in quality-of-earnings due diligence for acquisitions by private equity investors and strategic corporate buyers, including reviewing accounting records, interviewing management, and analyzing financial and operational results.
Prepare or evaluate pro forma financial information, assess seasonality and cyclicality effects on cash flow, conduct industry and company research, and connect findings to client valuations.

What you need

Candidates must be working toward a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; an Accounting or Finance degree is strongly preferred.
Applicants should have general knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting, be eligible to meet state credit requirements for the CFA or CPA exam, be proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office, willing to learn new technologies, and able to travel to client sites.
Education: a bachelor's degree

Our Salt Lake City, UT office location is seeking a Deal Services Intern. The anticipated start date for this role is: January, 2027 The anticipated end date for this role is: April, 2027 Come and see for yourself! Primary Responsibilities Participates in quality of earnings due diligence engagements related to acquisitions by private equity investor groups and strategic corporate buyers. Analyzes financial/operational results of targets through reviewing accounting records and conducting interviews with management. Prepares/evaluates pro forma financial information. Evaluates effects of seasonality and cyclicality on cash flow requirements. Performs industry and company research. Correlates due diligence findings with client valuations. Minimum Requirements Working towards the achievement of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field – Degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred. Achieving credit requirements to be eligible to sit for the CFA, CPA exam per state requirements. General knowledge of accounting principles and reporting of financial data. Willingness to learn new technologies. Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products.
