This hourly position is based at Choctaw Nation Headquarters in Durant, Oklahoma, and serves eight schools in the Bryan County area. It is not a traditional 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. position; start and end times vary according to business and school needs.
The position requires daily travel from August through May, with a tribal vehicle provided for travel from Headquarters to assigned destinations. From September through March, the EIS presents weekly workshops to high school students and provides one-on-one advising while building professional relationships with students and school administrators. Occasional evening work is required for virtual workshops and school events at which the EIS presents, including FAFSA & Oklahoma Promise nights, and similar activities. May through July are primarily dedicated to planning and preparation for the upcoming school year. A limited number of Saturdays or Sundays are required throughout the year to support HSSS or tribal events.
