EMT/Security OfficerrnrnWe are seeking a caring and friendly EMT/ Security Officer at John Knox Village, a leading healthcare and life plan community located in Pompano Beach. rnIn this role, the selected candidate will greet act as a rapid responder to emergency calls from Residents, Employees and Visitors in a efficient and professional manner. When not responding to an emergency call this position will be stationed at a gate, front desk or preforming roving duties.rnPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES rnrnRapid response to emergency calls from a dispatcher such as requests for medical assistance following emergency response proceedingsrnAssess emergency medical situation and perform physical examinations as neededrnrnrnAdminister first aid treatment and other emergency care to sick or injured persons and assist with facilitating the transport to medical facilities rnDetermine whether ER visit is neededrnProvide emergency medical care and other treatment pursuant to EMT certificationrnUtilize necessary medical equipment to treat and ascertain the extent of injury or illnessrnComplete incident reports documenting any medical response calls on campusrnPerform campus patrol and other security duties as assigned rnObserve, survey the area and report suspicious activity rnrnrnPOSITION SKILL REQUIREMENTSrnrnTechnical skills and KnowledgernrnHigh School Diploma or GED.rnPossess and maintain a State Certified EMT Basic, Intermediate, or Paramedic licensern1 to 3 years of related experiencernMust have strong attention to detail and note taking skillsrnAbility to effectively manage stressful situations and more than one task at a timernMust be able to sit, stand and patrol for long periods of timernAbility to lift at least 100 pounds, push at least 50 pounds, and have the stamina, endurance, and flexibility to repeatedly lift, bend, and kneel.rnHave and maintain BLS through AHArnrnrnInterpersonal SkillsrnrnOutstanding communication skills.
