English Language Teacher for Children in Coral Gables, FL

We are hiring an ESL (ESL) Language Teacher to provide in-person, customized lessons to our learner in Coral Gables. Job Information: Ref. # 201652: Students: A 9-year-old child with Special Needs (ADHD). He's just relocated to the US. Location: Lessons are to be held at the student's home near the Orduna Dr-Miller Rd Triangle Park in Coral Gables, FL 8 (33146). Availability: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays between 4:00pm and 8:00pm. Lesson Frequency and Duration: 3 times per week, 45 minutes per session. Current English level: Complete beginner. Native language: Portuguese. Students' language needs and goals: He needs to learn English so he can keep up with his classmates at school, understand what people say and communicate with them. He also needs to practise reading in English. Responsibilities: Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner Qualifications: Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in English Degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field Minimum of two years' teaching experience Experience working with children All Global LT instructor positions are freelance positions.
