Lead the installation, commissioning, and optimization of hardware improvements for extrusion lines and ancillary systems.
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and train operators/technicians on equipment features, machine guarding, and LOTO safety protocols.
Collaborate with the Process Engineer to align machine capabilities with optimal process parameters (temperatures, speeds, pressures) to minimize mechanical stress and component wear.
Maintain and upgrade downstream ancillary equipment (including vacuum pumps, water chillers, and pullers) to ensure synchronized line speed.
Maintain, and troubleshoot the material handling infrastructure, including delivery systems, vacuum loaders, blenders, and scrap grinders/shredders.
Manage and optimize the critical manufacturing utilities required to keep the extrusion lines running efficiently.
Design and work with maintenance to execute predictive and preventive maintenance (PM) programs to minimize unplanned downtime.
