Estimator – Preconstruction Location: Atlanta, GA. Level: Entry - Mid About Us Winter Construction is a mid-size general contractor serving the Southeast, with a primary focus on Metro Atlanta. About the Role The Estimator prepares timely, accurate estimates and helps keep Winter’s bidding process running smoothly. Reporting to the Director of Preconstruction, this role works closely with subcontractors, Operations, and the preconstruction team to deliver complete, competitive bids. Responsibilities Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and estimates for all scopes of work Solicit subcontractor bids and build relationships with quality subcontractors, keeping the subcontractor database up to date Manage bid documents, bid day setup, and tracking of bid results Coordinate with Operations to make sure estimates are complete, and share buyout results and bid feedback with subcontractors Assist with presenting estimates to owners and architects Qualifications 0-3+ years of commercial estimating experience with a general contractor Experience performing quantity takeoffs and preparing estimates across multiple trades Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills LEED accreditation, or willingness to obtain it Perks & Benefits Competitive pay Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays A great company culture built on teamwork and integrity Intentional career development initiatives Well-staffed project teams Community involvement and volunteer opportunities Equal Opportunity Employer Winter Construction is committed to equal opportunity in all terms and conditions of employment for employees and applicants, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
