About the Role
Join the engineering team at an early-stage AI cybersecurity startup and help build a platform for monitoring and securing enterprise AI systems. You will own work end to end, collaborate closely with customers, and shape the product's technical direction.
What You'll Do
Build and ship complete product features for enterprise customers.
Develop data infrastructure to ingest high-volume telemetry from endpoint, network, identity, and model gateway systems.
Design real-time detection and policy enforcement for emerging AI agent risks.
Work with customers on proofs of concept and deployments, adapting and shipping features as needed.
Train small models to make low-latency judgments against behavioral baselines.
Test models and agents for prompt injection, tool misuse, data exfiltration, and scope drift.
Help set the platform's architecture and technical direction.
What We're Looking For
0 to 5 years of software engineering experience, including internships, with backend or full-stack production work.
Strong backend and systems fundamentals, ideally including distributed systems, infrastructure, or streaming pipelines.
Experience shipping production systems and working in high-ownership engineering environments.
Familiarity with Go or Rust, cloud infrastructure, real-time data systems, and enterprise integrations.
Additional experience in applied ML, model fine-tuning, security engineering, red-teaming, or adversarial ML is valuable.
Customer-facing engineering, quantitative engineering, or competitive programming experience is also relevant.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $160,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
On-site in San Francisco, California, United States.
