We are looking for a Freight Analyst to join our team in Norcross, GA!

SUMMARY: Responsible for the Freight Payment function, supporting Transportation Expense, accurate and timely payment of Freight & Transportation Ryder invoices to include Inbound Domestic, Inbound and Outbound modes of service. Provide customer service support to carrier inquiries and partner with Transportation Procurement to proactively resolve billing discrepancies and contractual disputes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of Freight Pay processing. This will include but not limited to, G/L coding, auditing and keying FP invoices. Work closely with the Accounts Payable team to ensure all payments are processed. Act as the liaison between A/P and Freight Pay on any payment issues related to freight pay invoices.
Coordinator of month end accrual process, to ensure all information is collected for accrual, creation of accrual journal entry, validation of supporting documentation and other analysis as needed.
Handle all carrier aging to ensure carriers are proactively managing receivables without payment and the A/P team is resolving outstanding payables timely.
Actively participate in the design and implementation of the new Transportation Management System as it relates to Freight Pay and Audit. This will include, but not limited to design, test script development, testing and report creation.
Track and analyze monthly freight/transportation expenses.
Assist with EDI transactions.
PROJECTS:
Develop lanes data base including existing rates.
Develop a contractual agreement that will provide the carriers and partners an understanding how the invoices will be validated.
Implementation of the new Transportation Management System as it relates to Freight Pay and Audit. This will include, but not limited to design, test script development, testing and report creation.
