This opportunity entails being responsible for developing and maintaining geospatial solutions that support business operations and decision-making. You will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions using industry-standard and open-source geospatial tools. The role involves spatial data processing, map creation, and solution development, with a focus on learning and applying best practices in geospatial analysis, software development, and cloud-based GIS platforms. This role focuses on building foundational technical skills and understanding the software development lifecycle in a collaborative environment. What You'll Do: Develops geospatial solutions using tools like ArcGIS, QGIS, and open-source platforms. Creates interactive maps and dashboards using web technologies (Leaflet, Mapbox, etc.). Processes and analyzes spatial data using Python, SQL, and cloud-based tools. Supports and troubleshoots GIS systems and solutions. Collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions. Participates in Agile development cycles and contributes to team sprints. Performs other duties as assigned. What You'll Need: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Programming, Planning, Environmental Sciences, or related field, or In lieu of education, 4 years of relevant experience. What You'll Bring: Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, or R for geospatial analysis. Exposure to open-source GIS tools (GeoServer, PostGIS). Understanding of spatial data formats and standards (GeoJSON, OGC). What We Prefer: Internship or project experience in GIS or spatial analytics.
