Because breakthrough AI should move at the speed of ideas, not infrastructure. About the Role TensorWave is looking for a curious, motivated Government Affairs Intern to join our growing team. As we expand our computing infrastructure across the country, you'll gain firsthand experience at the intersection of technology, public policy, economic development, and government relations. This is an opportunity to work directly with our Government Affairs team, contribute to meaningful projects, and learn how emerging technology companies navigate legislation, build relationships with government and community leaders, and expand into new markets. We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, asks thoughtful questions, and is excited to contribute to a fast-moving team. What You’ll Do Legislative & Policy Research: Monitor federal, state, and local legislation related to AI, data centers, energy, and economic development. Help identify emerging trends and potential impacts on TensorWave. Government & Community Relations: Research government agencies, economic development organizations, elected officials, and community partners in markets where TensorWave operates or plans to expand. Briefings & Communications: Help prepare concise policy summaries, stakeholder profiles, meeting materials, and presentations for internal leadership and external engagements. Market Research: Support research on prospective markets, including local government structures, economic development opportunities, and community priorities. Department Operations: Assist with maintaining stakeholder databases, legislative trackers, project updates, and other tools that help keep the department organized. Hands-On Learning: Participate in team meetings and, when opportunities arise, attend government meetings, industry events, and community engagements alongside the Government Affairs team. Who You Are Required Qualifications Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Public Administration, Communications, Economics, Business, or a related field. Interested in government, public policy, technology / infrastructure, economic development, or community engagement. Prior knowledge of AI or data centers is not required. A strong researcher and communicator who can organize information and explain key findings clearly. Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple assignments. Comfortable using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, with a willingness to learn new research and tracking tools. Curious, proactive, dependable, and willing to ask questions and take initiative.
