As a Heavy Equipment/Lift Truck Mechanic at Southeastern Paperboard, Inc., you will be responsible for the following: Perform repair work on all company Forklifts, Clamp Trucks, and attachments Test and inspect propane (LP) and electric systems to diagnose issues with hydraulic, electrical, breaking and steering components Read and interpret diagnostic test results; perform repairs to engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, lighting, tires and wheels Preventative and routine maintenance; tune ups, oil changes, battery checks, tire/wheel changes and lubricating equipment and parts Replace worn or broken parts, rebuild engines or transmissions, and repair or rewire electrical harnesses Disassemble and reassemble equipment and parts Welding and fabrication Inspect and test repaired equipment to ensure it meets safety standards Comply with all safety policies and procedures Maintain service history, work orders, parts inventory, and order replacement parts On call for emergency Qualifications High school diploma/GED 3 (+) years' experience repairing Forklifts and/or Clamp trucks strongly desired Must have own hand tools Must have strong Electrical skills Must be mechanically inclined EOE M/F/D/V
