Industrial Pre-treatment/Cross Connection (IPT/CC) Inspector I (Grade 14), Inspector II (Grade 16), or III/Program Administrator (Grade 17)
To meet the changes in regulations and requirements of the City, a new position was approved with the FY23 budget. We are now accepting applications from existing Tooele City employees who would like to become the City's Industrial Pre-treatment/Cross Connection (IPT/CC) Inspector and ultimately our comprehensive Program Administrator.
The Industrial Pre-treatment/Cross Connection (IPT/CC) career ladder is established to facilitate progression from field inspection to full program administration of the City's comprehensive programs. In this position you will conduct inspection of industrial facilities and perform technical and administrative duties needed to comply with local, State, & Federal regulations as they pertain to Tooele City's industrial pre-treatment (water reclamation) program. You'll conduct inspections and perform technical and administrative duties relating to implementation for the City's cross-connection control program for the elimination of all existing and potential cross connections and the prevention of future cross connections. At the Program Administrator level, has primary responsibility for comprehensive program administration including program oversight, research, recommendations, field inspections, reporting, consultation, and serving as the City's subject matter expert. This position will also provide support to the department with water conservation programs and initiatives.
