Job Title: Intern, Mechanical Engineer Job Code:  42734 Job Location: Canoga Park, CA Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off    Job Description:  Provide mechanical engineering support for both new product development activities as well as factory support of existing products  Work directly with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation  Generate and/or process engineering change orders (ECO’s) as required  Qualifications:   Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree, or a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering or related field at an accredited university.    Preferred Skills:  CAD or analysis (FEA) tools exposure, and/or experience in mechanical design or analysis of electronic systems, structures and mechanisms  Must be able to apply the principles of Structural Mechanics to predict internal stresses and structural instabilities  Familiarity with finite element methods and fatigue  Familiarity with finite element methods and fatigue and damage tolerance principles n compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California,Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C. area, Denver, or NYC areas is $25.50 - $48/hour.
