Job Description The IT Business Systems Intern will learn a mixture of business & D365 processes, work with the IT team to support the development and implementation of low-code/no-code business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools—Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI - while gaining hands-on experience in software development, and process automation. The right candidate is analytical by nature, has aptitude toward detail and loves a fast pace. This Intern will get the opportunity to frequently be involved hands-on in various aspects of the working with business stakeholders, mainly in the support areas of customers and sales order processing. Key Accountabilities Assist in designing, configuring, development and deploying Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven). Build and automate workflows using Power Automate. Participate in Agile development cycles and team projects. Conduct testing and validation of app features and data flows. Document business processes, user requirements, and technical specifications. Present project outcomes and recommendations to stakeholders. Apply lean thinking to identify and eliminate inefficiencies Create and maintain business tools that facilitate proactive decision making, effectiveness and efficiency within the team. Analyze/ understand AS-IS & TO-BE model, and be an advocate for change. Qualifications/Requirements Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Familiarity with Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and Office 365 development. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience with workflow design and business process mapping is a plus Create and maintain business tools that facilitate proactive decision making, effectiveness and efficiency within the team. System Experience as a Plus Below ERP background (D365/SAP/Oracle) Azure DevOps Tableau MSFT Power Platform MSFT Office Entity Relationship Diagrams and Visio Relational Database Knowledge Object Oriented Programming Any Helpdesk Platforms (ex: Zendesk/ServiceNow/SysAid) Capabilities and Success Factors Customer Focus – Demonstrates patience, professionalism, and a desire to help users solve problems while providing a positive support experience. Organization and Prioritization – Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain accurate documentation, and prioritize work effectively in a ticket-driven environment. Curiosity and Desire to Learn – Demonstrates an interest in understanding new technologies, business processes, and how ERP systems like D365 support operations. Analytical Problem-Solving/Tiered Helpdesk Experience – Enjoys troubleshooting issues, investigating root causes, working with stakeholders to mine for additional detail, and thinking logically through challenges. Communication Skills – Can effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical team members and explain concepts clearly. Ownership and Accountability – Takes responsibility for assigned tasks, follows through on commitments, and demonstrates reliability. Attention to Detail – Approaches work carefully and understands the importance of data accuracy within the D365 ERP application Adaptability – Can adjust to changing priorities, learn new tools quickly, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
