Description Schedule: 2:00PM-11:00PM Tuesday - Saturday Position Summary The Line Services Technician, under the direction of the Customer Manager, is responsible for managing the immediate needs of arriving and departing aircraft. As the first and last person passengers and crew will meet at the FBO, the Line Service Technician must maintain sound customer service principals while performing their duties. Delivering aviation fuel, moving aircraft around the ramp and hangar areas, and servicing a wide variety of aircraft with various pieces of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) are essential parts of this job. The Line Service Technician works as a member of a team in a demanding, hazardous, time-sensitive, service-driven environment during all hours and most weather conditions. The safety of the Line Service Technician, their teammates, customers, and equipment is paramount at all times. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Marshal, park, and greet arriving and departing aircraft on the ramp Ramping aircraft at requested times and fulfilling all fueling duties required to ensure that aircraft are ready for departure at the requested time Use and set aircraft protection including wheel chocks and safety cones Operate mobile refueling vehicles, and deliver fuel to aircraft Tow, and assist in towing of aircraft around ramp areas, and in and out of hangars for both internal and external customers Provide ground power and lavatory services to aircraft Assisting passengers and crew with luggage Interior and exterior aircraft cleaning Up keep of KCAC’s courtesy cars Assist with up keep of facility and surrounding property grounds Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management Requirements Qualifications Ability to work a minimum of 5 scheduled shifts a week, including holidays Ability to use written, verbal and radio communication to send and receive information Ability to work independently and execute projects with limited supervision Ability to work on feet entire shift in all weather conditions (rain, snow, and heat…) Ability to lift equipment up to 70lbs Must have current Driver’s License and insurance Knowledge and Skills: Goal-oriented and able to maintain a professional image and attitude at all times Proven Customer Service skills to include good listening, composure and courtesy Able to work as an effective member of a team Possess excellent time management skills and must be able to accomplish tasks with little or no supervision on-time and quickly without compromising safety Good organizational skills and ability to effectively deal with customers and other associates Strict attention to detail is required to avoid confusion while communicating orders, following written procedures and learning how to service a wide variety of aircraft Able to recognize and prepare for changes to their environment, and adapt their plans and strategies in order to accomplish tasks
