Maintenance Mechanic

Apply Description The maintenance mechanic performs a full range of assignments using independent judgement to make decisions requiring the application of procedures and practices to specific work situations. Duties and Responsibilities: Typical duties and responsibilities include the following Industrial mechanical/ pipe fitting/ hydraulic repair Welding, machining and other fabrication Rigging, aligning machines and belt and pulley drives. Various preventative maintenance tasks Qualifications: The following qualifications are desirable: Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals Ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks on heavy equipment. Capable of pipe fitting and hydraulic repairs. Be willing to work off-shifts, weekends and overtime if required. Experience maintaining heavy industrial machinery. Welding experience or certifications Special Requirements: Be able to climb ladders and comfortable working in elevated environment. While performing the duties of this job, will be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts May be exposed to wet or humid conditions. May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. May be regularly exposed to high noise environments. May be exposed to extremely dusty environments. May be exposed to chemicals used in the manufacturing process Must be willing to enhance and learn new skill sets. Actively participate in safety initiatives.
