What you'll do
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained.
- Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
- Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed.
- Maintain company issued vehicle (routine PM’s, oil changes etc.), if applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you need
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of general, residential, hotel, apartment, vacation rental maintenance experience
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent communication skills, written and spoken
- Customer service focused and team oriented
- Self-motivated, proactive, takes the initiative, with strong follow-up skills
- Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements
- Time management and time critical prioritization skills

Amtek Engineering, an Associa company, is hiring a FULL TIME and PART TIME Maintenance Technician for its condominium community in Silver Spring, MD.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance duties of Associations involving mostly exterior carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs and minor roofing repairs in addition to other exterior responsibilities to guarantee that the communities we manage are properly and safely maintained.
Daily responsibilities:
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained.
Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed.
Maintain company issued vehicle (routine PM’s, oil changes etc.), if applicable.
Other duties as assigned.
Hourly pay rate: $22-$30.
High School Diploma or GED Required.
2+ years of general, residential, hotel, apartment, vacation rental maintenance experience.
Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.

Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.); OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements and State or local governmental safety requirements.

Valid driver's license is required.
