Maintenance Technician I

Brief Description Facilities Maintenance Mechanic I, initially under direct supervision, perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties in the maintenance department, repair and servicing of buildings, facilities, equipment and mechanical systems. Key Accountabilities Help troubleshooting, repair work and preventative maintenance on all plant machinery, equipment and instrumentation to sustain plant operations at highly efficient levels Equipment includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and fluid handling systems Assist in installing production equipment and machinery. Complete documentation process for machinery usage, equipment maintenance. Maintain cleanliness of maintenance equipment shop, and tools. Assist in dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. Help in maintain appropriate inventory of maintenance, janitorial and facility supplies. Maintain familiarity with manufacturing equipment and relationships with vendors and suppliers. Operate forklift to help aid in moving equipment/machinery. Desirable Experience, Capabilities and Success Factors High School Diploma/GED required; Trade or technical certification preferred. Must have at least one (1) year of preventative maintenance experience. Must have excellent verbal and written skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision may be required.
