What you'll do
- Previous Experience: preference will be granted to those who have work experience related to electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and process systems. Knowledge in these areas will be assessed through formal testing administered by Columbus MFG (maintenance and/or electrical exam).
- Formal Training: preference will be granted based on the number completed courses within the Maintenance Craftsman Development curriculum or equivalent (if applicable).
- Job performance in current position at Columbus MFG.
- Length of Service: all other criteria equal between candidates, preference will be granted to the individual with greatest length of service.

The Maintenance Craftsman Development Program (job title: Maintenance Trainee) will combine formal and on-the-job training (OJT) in order to prepare individuals for advancement opportunities as an Industrial Maintenance Craftsman. The formal training will be completed at local technical schools that provide the required courses identified as being necessary for completion of this program.
