What you'll do
- Cleaning and Washing: Operate automated aqueous washers, ultrasonic cleaners, or solvent degreasers to lean machined metal parts.
- Detailing and Deburring: Use manual tools (files, deburring tools, abrasive pads) to remove burrs, smooth edges, and remove residue from complex geometries.
- Inspection: Inspect parts for cleanliness, cosmetic defects (scratches, stains) conformance to specifications using magnification tools.
- Part Finishing: Blend tool marks, polish surfaces, and apply rust inhibitors or coatings to finished parts.
- Documentation: Review shop travelers or blueprints for special instructions and maintain records of completed work.
- Safety and Organization: Adhere to company and OSHA safety policies and procedures regarding chemical usage and PPE (masks, gloves, eye protection, etc.).
- Work from schedules, checklists, logs and established procedures.
- Record activities using basic computer systems.

IMG, an Ichor company, is hiring a Detail Technician for the Larkin manufacturing facility in Scotts Valley, CA. This role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to use various hand tools and machinery for deburring, polishing, wash, and other tasks related to product finishing.
Shift is M-F, 2:15pm to 10:45pm
