Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)

Inova Maternal Fetal Medicine is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to grow our team!  Current Openings:  * Inova Alexandria Hospital * Inova Loudoun Hospital  The MFM APP for this practice will provide health assessment and direct care to MFM patients as part of the provider team. Inova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience. We are also proud to be consistently recognized as a top employer in both the D.C. metro area and the nation.  Featured Benefits: * Committed to Team Member Health: offering medical, dental and vision coverage, and a robust team member wellness program. * Competitive Compensation Package: Competitive Base and Incentive program, opportunities for Relocation * Retirement: Inova matches the first 5% of eligible contributions – starting on your first day * CME Support: Up to $2,500 a year for CME support and up to 5 days of CME * Tuition and Student Loan Assistance: offering up to $5,250 per year in education assistance and up to $10,000 for student loans. * Work/Life Balance: paid time off and paid parental leave * Additional Benefits: licensure and DEA reimbursement   Maternal Fetal Medicine APP Job Responsibilities:  * Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients with high-risk and medically complex pregnancies in collaboration with MFM physicians and the multidisciplinary care team. * Specialize in diabetes management offering testing, monitoring, and nutrition counseling. * Closely monitor patients for complications associated with gestational diabetes including excessive fetal growth, excessive amniotic fluid, hypertension, and preeclampsia.  * Manage conditions in pregnancy including diabetes, genetic disorders, blood clotting disorders, fetal growth abnormalities, placental issues, hypertension, and multiple gestations.  * Order and interpret testing including labs, fetal monitoring, and non-stress testing. * Educate and counsel patients about their diagnosis, pregnancy risks, medications, treatment options and delivery.    Minimum Qualifications: * Education: Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of a post masters certificate program for nurse practitioners, OR certificate from an education program that is accredited by the Council of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs/Schools, American College of Nurse Midwives, American Association of Colleges of Nursing of the National League for Nursing. For physician Assistants, graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.  * Experience: No experience required. * Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start * Licensure: Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner; If Nurse Practitioner: RN Compact License(depending on State of primary residence) AND a license (or eligibility for) as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia AND a "Practice Agreement" signed by sponsoring/ supervising physician(s), AND a written "Scope of Practice/Protocol" signed by the supervising physician, AND "Drug Enforcement Administration License" (if prescribing controlled substances) * Payor Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor * Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services   Preferred Qualifications: * Experience: previous experience as an RN in Labor and Delivery or High Risk Perinatal or previous experience as a Women’s Health APP.
