What you'll do
- 1st shift 7:00am-3:00pm Monday - Friday
- Operate and maintain mechanized welding equipment to produce quality welds on various materials using Sub Arc Welding (SAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).
- Perform fitting, cutting, and grinding operations as required.
- Conduct inspections and assessments of welds to ensure they meet quality standards, adjusting as necessary.
- Train and mentor junior welders on welding techniques and best practices.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to optimize welding operations and workflows.
- Relocation support may be provided
- 3 years of relevant experience in mechanized welding processes, including Sub Arc Welding (SAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).
- 3 years of experience with semi-automatic and manual welding processes such as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), GMAW on aluminum materials
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting welding blueprints and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of AWS welding symbols.
- Capability to work at heights and in confined spaces, and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Technical certification in welding or a related field.
- Attention to detail and the ability to inspect work effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Willingness to train and develop junior welders.
- Experience in pressure vessel manufacturing in compliance with ASME code.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with using the metric system.
- Non-destructive testing (NDE) experience, such as penetrant testing.
