We currently have two full-time benefitted positions available at Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo. These positions follow an 8-hour day shift schedule, working Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts from 8:00am to 12:00pm. This position includes both front office (clerical) and back office (clinical) Medical Assistant job duties. The two available shifts are: 6:45am - 3:45pm 7:15am - 4:15pm Why join Scripps Health? What you'll do: Predominantly back-office responsibilities but is expected to help with front-office duties Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician’s practice Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person Collecting patient data in person and by phone Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review Administering medications specifically directed by the physician Scheduling of appointments and procedures Complete and accurate message taking Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics Required Qualifications: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred Qualifications: 1 or more years of experience working as Medical Assistant Primary Care, Family Practice, Pediatric experience New grads welcome to apply!
