This is a full-time, benefitted position working 8:00am - 4:30pm generally working Monday through Friday. No weekends or evenings required. Be part of a close-knit team that feels like family—kind, mindful, and dedicated to creating a workplace that feels like a second home Your job duties: Both front office and back office MA job duties Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician’s practice Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person Collecting patient data in person and by phone Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review Administering medications specifically directed by the physician Scheduling of appointments and procedures Complete and accurate message taking Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics Setting up for in-office procedures Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: One year of experience as an MA in an outpatient setting
