049-2021
We are excited to announce that Jefferson Healthcare has again partnered with the Washington Association of Community Health to continue the onsite MA training program here at our clinic facilities in Port Townsend! The training site for the April 2021 MA Apprentice Cohort will be in several clinics in the Medical Group and hospital and we have multiple positions available.
The MA Apprentice program is a combination of online and on-the-job training. The successful candidate will begin working, paid, in the role on site at Jefferson Healthcare with a 1:1 coach, while at the same time learning from online classes. We have identified some awesome coaches who love what they do and are excited to teach you!
At the completion of the program you will be prepared to sit the exam for the MA-C certification. Please note that individuals must apply for the MA-R and also note that individuals must take and pass the exam to become a Certified Medical Assistant and apply for a full time MA-C position once training concludes.
The training program will begin with a state-wide cohort kick-off event in early to mid-April. This kick-off is mandatory for all Apprentice participants (location will be virtual); you must be available on this day to start the program.
